Meet CIBO at the 2024 National Ethanol Conference

The National Ethanol Conference (NEC) is the most widely attended executive-level conference for the ethanol industry. Past events have welcomed industry leaders from across the United States and 20 countries. Since 1996, the Renewable Fuels Association’s NEC has been recognized as the ethanol conference for the latest, timely information on marketing, legislative and regulatory issues facing the industry.

CIBO is a sponsor of this annual conference because our platform helps renewable fuels producers score, identify, and source low-carbon biofuels feedstocks from growers using regenerative farming practices. CIBO’s platform, CIBO Impact, incorporates a robust programs engine, the SALUS ecosystem model, and satellite based remote sensing for practice detection at 3×3 meter resolution. This full-featured platform enables renewables producers to deliver turn-key programs to incentivize low carbon intensity (CI) cropping in their supply sheds, as well as to identify feedstock producers with 45Z-ready low CI yields.

CIBO offers the only commercially available solution that can manage large-scale regenerative agriculture programs. From grower identification and enrollment, to verification of practices, to quantification and reporting on carbon, CIBO delivers results at scale.

Prepare for the 45Z Tax Credit with CIBO

When the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) passed in 2022, it included a section that created a tax credit for renewable fuels producers: the Clean Fuel Production Credit (CFPC), sometimes referred to as the “Section 45Z” or “45Z” tax credit. This new credit will apply beginning January 1, 2025, replacing a handful of existing fuel industry tax credits that expire at the end of 2024.

As guidance for the renewable fuels industry continues to be released by the U.S. government, CIBO is keeping abreast so we can partner with producers and deliver on our shared goal of reducing the CI of crops grown as biofuel feedstocks. We invite you to check back soon for some upcoming news about our latest platform enhancements for the renewable fuels space.
