SubscribeAt CIBO Technologies, our mission is to support the agriculture, food, and sustainability industries with technology that makes regenerative agriculture more accessible, measurable, and scalable. As we launch our updated website, we’re also taking a moment to reflect on our recent milestones toward that goal.
Partnering for Impact: CIBO and Virginia Tech
CIBO Technologies was recently selected as the technology partner for the Alliance to Advance Climate-Smart Agriculture, a groundbreaking USDA-funded initiative led by Virginia Tech University. Backed by an $80 million USDA grant, the program provides financial incentives to farmers adopting conservation practices across hundreds of thousands of acres in Arkansas, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Virginia.
CIBO's advanced modeling capabilities will be used to quantify the impact of practices such as cover cropping and conservation crop rotation. With modeled impact, the Alliance can establish a marketplace where sustainably grown commodities can be sold at a premium to food companies, fuel buyers, and other downstream customers. This partnership highlights how public-private collaboration can deliver measurable climate outcomes while improving farmer profitability and agricultural resilience.
Recognition for Innovation
This quarter, CIBO was named among the 2025 THRIVE Top 50 AgTech Companies by SVG Ventures. It’s the fourth consecutive year that CIBO was included, and we’re grateful to be recognized among the companies addressing major challenges across the agri-food value chain. The THRIVE Top 50 highlights venture-backed startups that are using technology to drive impact, from automation and analytics to environmental outcomes.
We view this recognition as a reflection of our work in regenerative agriculture and of the growing need for tools that can help producers, supply chain stakeholders, and sustainability leaders plan and execute climate-forward programs.
Sharing Insights Through Media and Content
CIBO CEO Dan Ryan recently joined two major ag podcasts to share his perspective on scaling regenerative agriculture and the role of technology in driving adoption. On SiriusXM Rural Radio’s Agriculture of America Dan discussed CIBO’s approach to making regenerative practices more viable for producers through automation and informed decision-making. The conversation emphasized that while technology helps scale solutions, agronomic support and expertise remain essential.
Dan also appeared on The Food Chain Radio podcast to speak about the long-term value of regenerative agriculture and how CIBO supports producers in navigating both short-term transitions and long-term resilience. The discussion explored the role of partnerships, input costs, and land stewardship in building more sustainable agricultural systems.
These conversations are part of a broader effort to share what we’re learning with others across the industry. To that end, we’ve also launched a new LinkedIn series called #ExpertiseExtract. Through it, CIBO subject matter experts—from crop modeling to agronomy to computer vision—share knowledge and context on a range of topics. The goal is to provide practical, relevant content for those working in and around agriculture and climate.
A Website Designed for Utility
With these recent developments in mind, we’ve also redesigned our website to better reflect how CIBO is evolving as a company—and to better support those who engage with our work.
The new site includes:
- In-depth resources, including whitepapers, case studies, and articles focused on regenerative agriculture, conservation programs, and satellite data applications.
- Thought leadership from our team and partners on current topics in technology, sustainability, and policy.
- Event information for upcoming webinars and panels.
- Product updates to help users stay informed about our platform and its capabilities.
Looking Ahead
As we dive deeper into Q3, we remain focused on supporting agricultural and sustainability leaders across the country. We continue to build partnerships, deliver program-ready solutions, and share insights that we hope are useful to others working in this space.
We invite you to explore our new website, follow our content series, and stay connected as we continue this work. Thank you to our partners, customers, and peers for your continued support.
