CIBO Appoints Kim Stephan as General Counsel, Expanding Leadership Team

Accomplished Legal Strategist Stephan brings over two decades of legal and industry experience to CIBO

MINNEAPOLIS (May 16, 2023) – CIBO Technologies, the science-based software company that powers grower-facing carbon, Scope 3, and sustainability programs, today announced an expansion of the company’s executive team with the appointment of Kim Stephan as General Counsel.

Kim brings over two decades of legal and industry experience to CIBO Technologies, having held leadership positions with multiple technology companies across a variety of industries. Her expertise will be invaluable in supporting CIBO as the company enters a new phase of customer growth and expansion helping companies achieve their regenerative and carbon program commitments.

Throughout her career, Stephan has worked with private (venture capital and PE-backed) and public companies in fast-paced and complex operating environments, dealing with corporate and commercial matters such as governance, executive compensation, privacy, and SaaS contracting with customers, partners, and vendors.

Prior to CIBO Technologies, she served seven years as General Counsel and led the People/HR function of Virgin Pulse, a global health and wellness technology company with over 2,000 employees. In that role, she was responsible for all corporate transactions, commercial agreements, intellectual property, privacy, regulatory and employment matters. Previously, Kim spent eight years with Capella Education Company (NASDAQ: CPLA), an education technology company, leading their corporate governance, public company compliance and state regulatory functions. She holds a B.B.A. in Finance and received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
